Okay...so somhow, during the post-Yule Witan meeting it seems I wound up with the responsibility of sorta coordinating monthly full moon rituals/activity/whatever at the Grove.

I blame the lack of sleep.

I also apologize for not posting about this sooner.

Is anyone interested in putting something together for this month? If there is no ne who wants to do this, or is able, I will pick up my own slack. I've got a brilliant idea anyway. (Or maybe i'm hoping that no one sees through the bravado.)

Full moon is Saturday the 14th.

Let me know if you're interested in putting something together. Or want to collaborate. If I haven't hear from anyone by Saturday the 7th, y'all are at my mercy.

Also, if you want to run somthing for an upcoming month, let me know.

Renee

Considering I am over this voracious bug by then, I'd like to help.
If we do the rite on Saturday rather than Sunday, there is a chance
I'll be at Four Quarters. But if we do it on Sunday, I will try to be there
no matter what.

And I'll still be at your mercy.

Oh, I just thought of something.  I know Jesse is interested in doing something with a Warriors edge to it. Could we include him and have a warrior's ritual of sorts?

I'd like to help, however I can with this one, because once I'm back in school it'll be all that much harder.  (Microbiology or Chemistry this semester!)

I'm good at chasing down research materials, online info and "material components".  Whatcha all gonna neeed, hmmm?

I can even cook up something yummy for afterwards if you want (gingerbread, anyone?)

Post away, and I'll get scrounging.

It's true, I would like to run a New Moon Warrior Guilding Genesis Ritual (patent pending) on Sunday, Jan. 29 during/after Walk with the Old Ones.

I prefer New Moon because it's a new beginning and I always thought Full Moon was more of a feminine sign (although I don't know why).

Jesse- makes perfect sense to me.

Full Moon has feminie connotations, being associated with the Goddess, fertility, intuition...all that fun stuff.

Though, some cultures do reverse the sun/moon connotations. Amaterasu if I recal correctly, is a Japanese sun goddess, the god of the moon I think is her brother...though I can't rmember his name.

Food for thought. (I'm only providing light fare tonight)

Maybe just help write the ritual.  Are we doing Wiccanish or Druidish or a mixture of the two?

That hasn't really been decided.

Whoever wants to, we can start discussing this tomorrow at rites of caffeina?

I'm still sick and so will be on hiatus from all the weekend happenings.
But I can easily give feedback via the forum.  Whatever you guys decide
is fine for me.

Okay, so this weekend was kinda...nonproductive, so far as full moon ritual planning is concerned (not that I'm complaining...I had a wonderful New Years Day bumming around the Grove.

I'm figuring more people will be around this week coming up, and we'll have a better time planning.

I mentioned before that I had an idea for what I'd like to do if there were no others.

What do y'all think of the idea of having a ritual that involves the use of the massage table?

It's post-holidays, it's the new year. How do you feel about a little stress relief? I used to be involved in a women's group up in PA, and one January our ritual involved a massage table in the center of our circle. Everyone took turns with about 3 mnutes or so on the table, and the person at the head giving a scalp massage, and the rest of the group doing a hands-on and sound healing (the sound was us humming, there were also a few sitting to the side and drumming)

lemme tell you, it was phenomenal.

Oh...and I'm thinking to do this on the evening of Sunday the 15th...the night after the full moon. If we do this, it would of course be an indoor thing.

Who's game?
