Baltimore Herb Festival
« on: May 20, 2007, 02:45:29 PM »
So several of us might be trekking to the Baltimore Herb Festival this Saturday.  I believe Anna, Dennis, Will, and myself are planning on going.  Is there anyone interested?  They have some neat workshops and a LOT of neat vendors listed on their site.

If you're interested, let us know and maybe we can plan some carpooling.  I might even try to convince my dad to go.

Afterwards we were thinking of going out for a late lunch somewhere and shoot the shit, etc.

Do we have a wagon we can use to carry herbs and such in. I have a folding cart but it's not a wagon......

Looks like fun and it's cheap only five bucks a person and parking is free.

Much Love,

Anna

And for those of who know no fear, it is time to learn the true meaning of the word.   to the very depth of quaking souls, it is time to know fear.  The Baltimore Herb Fest's designated "herb of the year" is

http://lemon balm :o

be afraid, be very afraid.

So Crystal beat me to posting the link for herb fest, ok, here is anohter just give you a sense of who might be there selling stuff

Yes, we have a listtle wagon, and Caryn has the red wagon at the grove, so that is two.  I alco have a small hand truck that turns into a horiziontal dolley and works well with bungee'd on 'milk crates'. SO that could be three.  Can you tell I have doen this before?

If you want to meet up before going into the fest, the best is to pick a time, and meet at the extreme east end of rte 70. There is a park and ride there, though it is best to pull off just before the last exit east bound exit, rather than going around the U-turn at the very end of 70.

awesome will, you seem to have us covered in the wagon area. I am not sure where you said we could meet and there is always the question of what time? I am thinking noon, the festival starts at 10 but most arent up and mobile at that time.

Fernando's Salsa Grill

6642 Security Blvd
Gwynn Oak, MD 21207
(410) 265-5552

How about here for lunch/dinner. It has good reviews but I have never been there. BYOB is the policy and apparently the food is killer if you don't mind indifferent service.

Any other ideas loves?

Anna

I know where that's at, for a while my sisters custody exchange was done there.  But you guys will have to pick a restaurant.  If it's not a place that has a butcher in the back and food that moo's, then I prolly don't know about it.

Will is proposing a meet-up at the I-70 park-n-ride.  The first "workshop" is at 10, so perhaps we should meet at 9 so we have some time to run around before the first thing.  Though I don't really plan to go to the first one.

9am is perfect we will be getting off work around 8ish right up around there. We'll prolly eat breakfast while waiting for you all to get there depending on how early we finish the stores.

70 pretty much dead ends at 695 and the park and ride is right there. Once you take the exit for 70 from 695 it splits one way is onto 70 west the other goes to the park and ride.

Dang it, I have a women's self-defense class with my daughter, or I'd be there (and probably wanting to buy another 3 dozen plants!)

I'll put it on my planning calendar for '08 so I  keep the weekend open.

Just a quick warning, Dennis is sick, I'm starting to feel the starts of it, as is Anna I think.

I'm guzzling stuff to try and heal it up quickly, but if it blows up, then I might have to punk out.

My mom & brother are coming down (up?) for this. So we will be taking our own transportation. Thanks!
