Work day at CLG?
« on: October 11, 2006, 01:37:30 PM »
Will is planning to take off Friday of this week.  The 2 of us are going up to work on the railings or anything else that needs to be done.  I know most folks have to work but if you happen to be off, let me be the first to invite you up to CLG for the day.   :D

I am absolutely certain that you won't be bored!

Note we could have movie night at the grove.  I know Mark said he had some historical movies.  We have a number of videos and DVDs on the Celts, Ancient Civilizations, Ancient Ireland, the Kabalah and a bunch of others that I can't think of right now.

Thoughts?  Some folks have talked about bringing back movie Friday's.  We also want to do Healing Shares so we need to find time to schedule all these things.

Opps think I lost me reply....hehe

If I am not actually off this Friday I will be done working before most of us humans get up so I can lend some hands. Just let me know when and what to bring if anyuthing.

Movie nights sounds great.

As for healing shares I /assumed/ we would be assembling after the Samhain rite to do some serious cleaning and such. However, thurs is the campbells soupy party and the 31st so friday? My attendance is dependent on what part of the east coast is my home that week. We lost and hired a person well two really so I might be in NJ or PA for a week or two but Friday nights are usually good regardless.

Well what do you like to do?  There is always garden work if you like gardening.  There is a weeping cherry tree that needs to find a home.  There is always cleaning.  We could move the pillows out of the healing room to see what kind of shape the floor is in to determine if we need to sand it, then urethane it, or just urethane it.  We could stain and urethane the archways.  We could steam clean the carpets.  Oh there's just all kinds of stuff to do up there.  Not the least being running around the whole inside and out with a big ole sage smudge stick.  And I have some big ones that I made with the flowers from the sage plants this past summer.  You just have to be careful not to drop embers on the floor, as Caryn knows all too well.

Dang it, wish I could come up and help, but I've turned into a stay at home Mom of TWO now, since we took Steven out of daycare.

With him about, coming up for a work day won't work for me anymore, since Gryff needs to sleep for work and can't watch him during the day . . .

If you want to work on the floor tomorrow thats great my partner would like to come look at it. I had mentioned before when we were talking about moving the library. His family owns Bay Floors in Severna Park and he has  many years experience working with wood floors. As soon as I mentioned the floor he wanted to come look.  But if it's weeding that needs done I can do that too, I think, if you tell me what needs to go and what stays hehe. I haven't mowed in a long time I am not sure you want me to have powered appliances hehe.  We are working tomorrow but we will be done early so anytime after ten am we are pretty much free.  You have a plan I can try to follow it hehe.

Have a great day

My head is groggy, and I'm not reading carefully.  It has been a long day.
Are we having a movie night this Friday?  Are we having a work day on Saturday?

Will is taking the day off tomorrow and I was just trying to see if anybody might be around.  He and I are going up to work on the back porch railing.  Then I mentioned that if folks were still around we could order pizza and watch a movie or something.

Actually, Saturday...now that you mentioned it.
Some folks in the grove might remember John, CuDunn from Mugwort Grove.  We helped him move up to York, PA a few years ago and the VA has transferred him up to Vermont.  Anyway all his stuff is boxed up and in a storage shed and just needs to be put into a truck.  Will and I are driving up Saturday morning, its just off 83 to be there around 10AM.  It shouldn't take long but a couple of extra backs sure would help.  If anyone is interested, let me know, Thanks!

I'd love to bring Steven, but we still haven't gotten his ADHD meds straightened out yet.

He's still a little wild sometimes, :bouncy: and he hasn't been at his best behavior this morning, but we'll see . . . because I'd love to come by!!

My situation is I'm getting a new window for my car. Long story, but my old passenger window sorta self erupted a couple weekends ago. I want to get a new window before winter sets in. So I won't have a car until noon on Saturday.  If something going on Saturday afternoon or evening, shout, and I'll try to make it down. Otherwise, I'll see everyone on Sunday.

Is there any work I could do on Sunday instead? My gent has the car for guard this weekend, but I could probably get a ride from someone Sunday morning!
