Okay, the gallery is upgraded to a new version of Coppermine, which is the software I use to keep track of all the pictures. Eventually I will get around to incorporating the layout into our own website here.
Some features this software has, is the ability to password protect sections. Instead of putting his under the "Members Only" section, as we generally share these with the ADF populous and maybe a few friends and family, I will create one password for the entire thing. Every few months if I need to, I'll change it.
It also forces people to login to view the gallery.
On that note, in order to keep things secure, I am not allowing users to upload pictures. In order to do that, I have to open up permissions that I just don't want to open up. If you want to add pictures, you'll just have to send them to me.
Another reason for this is some of the pictures got unorganized when someone uploaded their own, and put them all in one particular folder, when they were for different categories (Imbolc mixed with Wedding pictures, etc).
On a side note
all picture labels were lost in the shuffle, so I will need to set down with Caryn mostly to get all the pictures labeled again. All views have been set to 0 again. (this really was a pain to do
)
We also have a section dedicated to
members altars. Right now it shows some of Caryns (without labels) and one of Jacks. If you have pictures of your home altar you'd like to share (and host for your dedicants program) then email them to me with a brief description.
I have also started an
Ancestors section, for people who want to post pictures of their ancestors with a description of that person, etc.
I am open to suggestions about other sections as well. I still have a large pile of photos that have not even been added yet, but I will get to those over time.
