There will be story telling and BBQ at the Grove this coming Sunday. Bring your stories about Aine or Manannan or other favorite Celtic story that maybe has something to do with them. I will be bringing a couple of songs that we can try out if we like.
We will need some volunteers to bring charcoal and grill items.
(((Note: chicken works much better if it has been boiled to almost done and then put on a grill rather that put on raw.)))
I can bring turkey burgers, the thin low carb buns, and laughing cow cheeses. I can also bring a gallon of unsweetened tea.

I'm still trying to figure out a good story. I've been editing photos for hours and my eyeballs are about to fall out.
If you guys have any requests for stuff to get at the farmer's market, let me know. I'm thinking pork of some sort. Maybe ribs or sausages or something. They have pretty much anything you can think of there. (Note to anyone who likes to make things out of yarn: the lamb guy has a boatload of dyed and un-dyed wool and yarn right now.)

I wish I could be there! I have Wildlife First Aid training in Arlington, VA Saturday and Sunday...

Wow! That sounds fascinating. Have fun.

I will not be able to stay for the stories, unfortunately. I have a kids birthday party at 3 so I will have to leave about 1:30. Maybe I can catch one or two though.

Thanks Betony! I'll see all of you at the next High Rite. I will try to make it to one of the Walk with the Old Ones before the next rite though...it's a goal..
-
I plan to be there for some of it.
Gotta think of a story. But either way, I will
eat a bit of barbecue and be a good listener.
Is there anything I should bring? Donuts don't seem
to go with a barbecue.

We will need charcoal and regular hamburgers for those that like them. I only got the slim hamburger buns so I figure someone could bring more of those. Someone could bring hot dogs or brats or something and buns. There is ketchup, mustard, and relish up there. Don't know about mayo. And there is always the need for something to drink.
