:help: I'm sure many folk recall that last autumn/winter, we had a clothing drive for the patients at Sheppard Pratt (http://www.sheppardpratt.org/)in Towson. For those who may be new, here are the details:
As they did last year, the Witan has voted to provide $100 towards underwear.
Although I solicit donations of used clothing to donate to the client closet, I am not formally affiliated with the hospital. However, I am a former patient, parent of a former patient, and friends with several former patients so I am acutely aware of the need for decent, usable clothing.
Most of the patients admitted to the psychiatric wards at Sheppard Pratt are admitted from general hospitals wearing only hospital gowns. Because many of these patients have no other resources, they are dependent on the "Client Closet" for something to wear during their inpatient stay, and to wear home upon their release. These patients range from small to very large adults. Last Winter, I transported a mini-van load of clothing in sizes extra-small through 7-X.
1. All of the clothing has been used and the closets are empty again.
2. CLG was the recipient of a very nice card/note.
3. Needed are:
New, wrapped underwear and socks
Trousers and tops, both mens and womens, any sizes,
plus sizes are a particular need
Anything warm - sweat pants, sweat shirts, sweaters
There is a HUGE need for winter coats and jackets for
indigent clients who are being released
Also needed are rectangular laundry baskets and/or
storage totes so that we can sort and transport the clothing to the hospital.
Volunteers to help sort and fold would be welcomed with open arms!
4. Clothing and baskets/totes can be brought to CLG, or, I am in Reisterstown, and will gladly travel throughout Baltimore and Carroll County and Baltimore City to collect items from you.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

 I just realized that we don't have any place to put store these at CLG. We either need to clean out the basement or find a place to store the baskets.
Open to suggestions!

Right now, we're storing donations in the mini-van. I hadn't pictured storing stuff long term at the grove, but I had assumed that dropping off and picking up would be OK.

Many thanks for the heads up. I've spoken with Barry and he's spreading the word to the TW crowd. They've even offered to have a fold and sort night if needed.
