- October 29, 2004, 10:49:26 AMThose in the Dedicants Program should be doing this rite. Remember, last year at Samhain they dedicated themselves to this course and have evidently stuck to it. It,s great when someone says they are going to do a thing and actually follow through with it.
As to my question about Group Mind, I was being a bit sarcastic, and I agree, if it means leaving all the garbage behind.

- October 29, 2004, 06:59:23 AMThanks Jack....a lot of hard work did go into this ritual...this was for us a labor of love....when you want to be active in the planning, just sit in on liturgy meetings...if I'm not mistaken you did sit in on one meeting as did Chasos (sp)..I think one or two others did as well....will see you Saturday...thanks for the kind words.....

- October 28, 2004, 07:53:57 PMPersonally, I like the idea of different people taking charge of different ritual. Eventually, and hopefully, I will know enough to participate in the writing and organzing of a service. I appreciate the liturgy being posted beforehand, so I can print it out and really reflect on what we will be doing. I know a lot of effort and hard work has gone into this Samhain service. I appreciate it very much. I still am hoping that perhaps we can do Z's liturgy at Highland. It too was very beautiful and well thought out. Let's learn from each other. We have so much talent and so much ability in this Grove, that there is no limit to what we can do, if we focus our energy in the right direction. I look forward to seeing everyone at Samhain. (And let me know if the lawn needs cutting Saturday morning!)

In order to do any kind of magic there has to be a common focus and the clearer that focus, the more powerful the magic. This rite is more of a celebratory rite but it is nice to get folks to let go of their daily stresses and focus in on the ritual without having them running their laundry list or whatever else through their minds.

We can be together but be free in heart and mind. Respecting and accepting that can bring unity in our objectives, at least, and maybe we'll be able to "do something", like our Adopt a Highway commitment, for the Earth we claim to love.

Please see my Hussah's on under Grove Discussion & Samhain. Big Hussahs to the group who put this ritual together. I know how hard you worked for over 2 months order to put it together. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. I have to go to DC early that AM but I should be back in time. The key here is that you have allowed me to do something important and I don't have to worry about the ritual.

I understand that the dedicant's program people are running it, but I kinda thought it was still going to be a grove High Rite (with more than just the DP involvement). Since it has the feel (at least to me) of a personal rite, I guess me and the 2 girls that wanted to come, can just do our own rite, here at home. Good luck to all the DP people - hope all go's well.
