For anyone not catching it on the Liturgists Guild forum, we're going to do somethign a little different during WWTOO on Sunday...Here's the text of the original post in that thread....

Quote
Well, most folks know about Sunday's discussion of each person picking a deity to talk about...and just now I've been poking at the adf-liturgists list and got an idea from a post by Brian Farnell.

He was talking about a ritual where, during the personal offerings, each person would stand up and briefly introduce themselves, and a patron/s (or deity of choice that one has worked with if considering none to be their patron/s), and then going around the circle and each person in turn giving a brief comment in honor of the person, and as such, in honor of their deity as well...

Here's the example given in the email so you can see what I mean:

Quote
Jack:   Hi, I'm  Jack, I have for 10 years worked with Freya as my patron.
She has been with me through troubled times, my divorce, the death of my
grandmother and doubt as to my religious beliefs.  She has also brought me
joy and strength of spirit and I hope that everything that I do honors her.

Abby:  I know Jack who follows Freya and I know him to be a good man, a good
father and a dedicated member of the grove.

Bill:  I know Jack who follows Freya and I know him to be the best of
friends, a man who is always there when you need him.

Frank:  I know Jack who follows Freya and he has always been the kind of
person who would give you the shirt off of his back.

...(continue honoring Jack and indirectly honoring Freya, then let the
others have their turn with their patron)

For anyone who doesn't consider any particular deity to be their patron or somethign similar, you could of course, name whatever deities you feel closest to, or are currently working with or otherwise want to honor in this way. Or you could refer to ancestors or other spirits.
