This past Sunday we laid out our High Rite Schedule for 2011. This has already been posted on our google calendar, so don’t hesitate to set aside time for any of our rituals you wish to attend with plenty of notice

Our High Rite Schedule is as follows:
February 5th: Imbolc
March 19th: Ostara/Spring Equinox
May 7th: Beltane
June 18th: Midsummer/Summer Solstice
August 13th: Lughnasadh
September 24th: Mabon/Fall Equinox
November 5th: Samhain
December 17th: Yule/Winter Solstice

Specific times will be posted later on, but they are usually around the same time in the evening hours as almost all of our rituals.

Also don’t forget about our members only bowling trip on the 29th of this month at 4pm. Bring a friend! This will cost approximately $10 per person. It’s $45 per lane for 2 hours with a free pizza and pitcher of soda. At 6 people per lane, this will work out fairly well. Please RSVP for this if you can.

Feel free to join CedarLight Grove this Saturday for our Yule High Rite. Our prayer for our Yule Rite shall be “Spreading the light of hope through shadows of winter”. We will be honoring Freyr and Freya, with Baldur as the Gatekeeper and Thor as the protector from the Outsiders.

This will also be an optional all-night vigil for those that wish to stay the night. We have a schedule of activity and rituals throughout the night on our Yule event page.

We are also raising funds for Big Cats with a bake sale, which further details for that can also be reached on our Yule event page. Feel free to bring a baked good or money to purchase some baked goods in support of this fantastic organization to save our Big Cats.

Since many of us will be staying up to celebrate the long night, there will be NO RITES OF CAFFIEENA OR ACTIVITIES ON SUNDAY DECEMBER 19th 2010.

domainCedarLight Grove, ADF will be holding a memorial for Isaac Bonewits during our Mabon High Rite on September 25th at 5:30pm.

Folks are encouraged to bring mementos about Isaac to be placed on the Ancestor’s altar, as well as any stories they wish to share.

More details will be posted on this rite as they are made available.

Yesterday around 8am EDT, the founder of ADF Isaac Bonewits passed peacefully in his sleep. ADF has placed a memorial to Isaac on their website.

CedarLight Grove, ADF is very saddened by this news, as Isaac was very involved in our region for many years, specifically the Free Spirit Gathering and blessing the first stone at Four Quarters.

We will be holding a memorial ritual for Isaac for those in the area that wish to honor all of the great work he did for the neo-pagan community, especially here in the mid-atlantic.

We will post an announcement here on a date and location (as it will likely not be done at CedarLight Center due to size). If you would like to receive an email announcement when this has been decided, please sign up for our forum and it will automatically add you to our e-announcement list.
